Dr. Heather Starr Fiedler is an Associate Professor of Journalism and Mass Communication at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. She has taught and studied design for over 10 years and teaches both print and Web site design to undergraduate and graduate students.

She decided to start Starr Custom Design after designing custom themed invitations, cd covers and labels for her son’s first birthday party and then doing some other design pieces (web sites, birth announcements, party themed pieces) for friends.

She enjoys working on custom designs as a team effort with her client, assuring that the client gets a piece that is completely tailored to their wants and needs.
